Fear and Business Do Not Mesh: Get Over Your Fear Today

Today I have a special bonus video for you today because I absolutely love this trailer and you will see why soon. I will definitely be going to see this movie when it comes out on May 31, 2013. Maybe I'll do a review and trust me I'll definitely aware you first hand if there are any spoilers. So before I continue today's post there will be a trailer spoiler. I absolutely love this quote from the trailer:

“[…] But if we are going to survive this, you must realize that fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real, but fear is a choice.” – After Earth Trailer

I was so excited when I first saw this trailer and honestly I’m still excited about this movie and especially that statement. It is completely in alignment with everything that I have been studying and my new mindset as an entrepreneur. It also inspired me to write this blog post, because there are some who fear starting their own business. They’re saying, “Oh I want to start my own business so much, but what if I fail.” That second part of that sentence is fear speaking. Here are three quick steps to overcome that fear.

Always keep in mind that Fear and Business do not mesh.

Step 1: Block out all negativity and replace it with gratitude. As it was said in the trailer (but I’m paraphrasing) fear is a product of thoughts you create. If you’re constantly feeding yourself thoughts “what if I fail” then naturally you will create that fear of failing. What if we replace those negative thoughts with those of gratitude? Now we’re constantly thinking, “I’m thankful for my successful business.” What do you think that would do for your business that you wish to start/have? You will create your success and feelings of success instead of fear. Remember that you have complete control over the thoughts you choose to think and negate the negative.

Step 2: Because Fear and Business do not get along you must also write down all the reasons why you supposedly can’t start your own business and then scratch them all out. Rip up the piece paper and even burn it if you like. Then scream out loud at the top of your lungs, “I WILL START MY BUSINESS TODAY!!!!!” Okay, so your neighbors may think you’re a maniac, but who cares. You’re starting your business; you’re overcoming your fear and getting rid of all the things that you think are stopping you. This is your dream and the sooner you realize that you have the power to get through all obstacles the sooner they will be realized.

Step 3: START YOUR BUSINESS TODAY!!!! Make no excuse, don’t say yeah that sounds good and all BUT. Get rid of your buts. You have to start today and I don’t just mean with a plan. I mean start with action. Call that person you’ve been meaning to call. Click that link to the business opportunity you’ve been looking at online and don’t be afraid to receive email about something you’ve wanted to do for years. Remember fear is a choice, if you’re scared to ask for more information about a business or starting a business then you might as well give up your dreams and be normal.

But they can become fixated with appearing successful, showing more style than substance, or undermine themselves by exaggeration, inflating their importance, or trying to win or one-up all the time.
3. Artists. Artists are perhaps the most creative and innovative leaders. They tend to move people deeply, and bring out the most in people. As they become more mature, they draw less inspiration from themselves and more from others. Improve your artist side by avoiding negativity, procrastination and focus on self-discipline

The Second Secret to Success in Network Marketing is your Motivation and your Belief. Without Motivation, as I’ve said before in one of my previous post, you won’t be able to make it through the obstacles that challenge you. Anything and everything that comes up will come before your business if you do not have the right why. The interesting thing about the why is only you can determine what it is and only you can say if it’s a strong enough motivation to get you through all the tough times.
According to Network Marketing Success: Success in 10 Steps an application by APPBUZZ (on the google play market go get it, its free click here) to find your why that will keep you going you should ask yourself questions like:
  1. “Where’s your fire?”
  2. “What do you LOVE?”
  3. “What do you HATE?”
  4. “What is REALLY important to you?”
  5. “What do you REALLY want?”
  6. “What situation in life do you want to get out of so it never ever, EVER happens again?”
Your why has everything to do with who you are individually and nothing to do with obtaining success in network marketing or having money. It’s the core you. Once you've gotten to the core you then its time to pinpoint more specifically what your why is. To pinpoint what your Motivation is the application shares to ask yourself these questions:
  1. “What gets you really excited?”
  2. “How many hours a week do you work?”
  3. “What do you LOVE about your job?”
  4. “”What do you HATE about your job?”
  5. “What do you do with your free time?”
  6. “If you had two months vacation and all the money you wanted, what would you do?
  7. “How do you like the people you work with?”
  8. “What problems scare you to death that more money could solve?”
  9. “What do you absolutely HATE about your life that more money could solve?”
  10. “If you had all the money you needed, what HUGE problem would go away?”
  11. “If you had all the TIME in the world to do anything you wanted, what would you do?”
  12. “Other than money what are you looking for?”
These are all great questions which is why I’m sharing them in hopes that this will help you find your why. It is the solution to mostly all of your obstacles within network marketing. Once you've answered these questions find what they all have in common and that is your motivation to success in network marketing. All the things you desire to do in life, everything that makes you laugh, cry, happy, mad, and sad. Yes emotions, fear of, lack of, abundance of these emotions and the feeling you get from one in particular is the driving force that makes you say never again. It pushes you to the next dimension where nothing and no one can stop you from achieving your success.

To have success in network marketing you must also have belief.

This is critical to success in network marketing and in any business. If you don’t have belief in yourself, the company, your network, or your product then you might as well give up. Who’s going to have belief in you or a product you’re selling if you don’t believe in yourself or you don’t believe in the product? If you have a problem with your belief system then you have to change your mindset and you have to start asking yourself why you don’t believe. Sometimes it is fear that can cause you to not believe.


You have to let fear go in order to obtain the success in network marketing that you desire.

The Secrets of Success in Network Marketing - Part 1

Welcome to the Success in Network Marketing blog series. You are here because you want to be successful. Or you just want to know what it takes to be awesome in this industry. In either case it is results that we are looking for and the results that are desired are not coming as quickly as they were promised. You’re frustrated because you’ve been sold this dream of freedom and having your own business. You’re doing what the person who brought you into this industry told you to do which is to recruit and sell. Yes, it seems simple enough, but the simple plan of recruiting and selling doesn’t seem to be working as well for you as it is for your recruiter and your wondering why?

So you ask your recruiter, “How can I achieve the same results that you do?” and they reveal to you the numbers. Yes, the magical numbers. “Oh, you have to call so many people a day and offer the opportunity and/or the product to them and that’s it. Then you’ll create an income just like me.” I know this because I’ve been in network marketing companies and I’ve had the same questions and I’ve received the same answers. I understand the frustrations of not getting the results you want when you desire success in network marketing.

When we get this knowledge of the numbers we start to immediately apply them to our business and for a short time we start generating a better income. This makes us feel as though we have obtained success in network marketing. But, then we start to see our profits dwindle and we’re looking at our bank accounts and back office wondering what in the world is happening? We then go back to our recruiter and ask what happened. They tell us a plethora of answers anything and everything from you didn’t offer the right product, you haven’t recruited enough people, oh you haven’t bought this product yet, and the dreaded “that’s the way of the numbers” answer - for every few recruits or customers you gain you also lose some recruits or customers. And so the cycle continues and we offer another product, we recruit more people, we buy the product we hadn’t bought, and we do more numbers so that we can try to retain more people. In some cases this works and we see better results, but eventually we come to terms with the fact that it is still not enough to get us where we really want to be.

You can obtain Success in Network Marketing and get the results you desire.

Whether it is to be like your recruiter, have the freedom in your own business as you desire, or to run your own business full time and quit your day job. You can have success and retain more customers and business partners. (Notice I said business partners and not recruit.) If you are dreaming of true results within your network marketing company then let’s start obtaining those dreams.

The first secret to success in network marketing is to change your mindset of getting recruits. Stop getting recruits now. Start gaining business partners now. Why business partners instead of recruits? Because you don’t want to be a recruiter and you don’t want to have recruits. In my most humble opinion, a recruiter is one who sells you an idea of joining something and that’s it. However, if you are looking for business partners you desire to become a mentor, a sponsor, a coach of another or future mentor, sponsor, or coach. These are individuals who not only care about your personal results in their organization, but they also care about you obtaining your dreams and goals. They don’t continue to sell you on products and numbers like recruiters do. They offer advice on how to grow not only in your business, but also as a person. Having success in network marketing is about more than having a surplus of money in your bank account. It includes caring about the people that make up your team/network.

How can obtaining other mentors, sponsors, and coaches give you success in network marketing? It will explode your business by giving you a team of leaders that are like minded. They are looking to help and inspire others just like you. Instead of just looking for a quick buck they are looking to build a network of people that build, inspire, and empower each other. When you start to understand that in any business, building relationships is what it takes to get you the success you desire you’ll start to see the results of helping others. With network marketing, when you focus on your people that are also focused on people you begin to see results.

I learned this secret of success in network marketing when I joined empower network; although it is not a network marketing company, their affiliate program has some of the best mentors and coaches in the world. In my old network marketing company I was told the numbers and I did them to the best of my ability and their training materials always said in big bold letters “RECRUIT! RECRUIT! RECRUIT!” and that’s exactly what I did. I made a profit from selling and recruiting a couple of people, but I never really learned the difference between a recruiter and a coach.

Now I know that relationships in building a business are of extreme importance when obtaining success in network marketing. Start being a mentor, a coach, and/or a sponsor today. Show your current and potential partners that you care about their success in life. Maybe you’re overdue to follow up with them to see how the marketing plan that was designed is working out for them. Ask them how they intend to use your business to obtain their dreams whatever they may be and start planning to help them work towards their goal. The first secret to Success in Network Marketing is now yours to start implementing today.

Still Working on SwagBucks

Yes it is a very diligent task, but no one ever said working was easy. Well unless you believe it will be easy. Well, I guess it is easy. Its just not overnight quick and easy. Although it can be if we believe and program ourselves to have faith that earning our dream goal or amount will be easy to obtain.

Hunh? What are you talking about? I'm talking about believing and having faith that your dreams will come true. That all your desires are there to obtain and all you have to do is activate your faith. Be it through prayer, meditation, or just pure faith and belief.

If you believe with your whole heart it will come to past. Several weeks ago I came up with this idea to try to put my all into earning 15K in 90 days and I wasn't quite sure how I was going to do it, but I was and still am believing that it is here now. I have never been the kind of person that says I'll wait to see it before I believe that it will be here. I have activated my faith and already many doors are opening that were once closed to me and I am so happy.

I mean I am ecstatic. You have absolutely no clue how much so. I wish I could share this abundant joy and belief with you. I hope it reaches you wherever you are. I'm excited. I hope you are too. Right now on swagbucks I only have 600 more points to earn before I ask for my paypal payout, but because I have been believing I may not have to wait until the payout to begin the next step of this 90 day challenge. As I said before doors have been opening for me.

Training to Earn 5K

Swagbucks! Your kidding right? No, absolutely not. I didn't say I was going to earn 15K in 90 days by doing swagbucks offers and surveys. I guess I should be more clear. Swagbucks is a way to earn items including money for free. 100% free. No credit cards or debit cards needed or required. I plan to put the money I earn towards other endeavors that will help me get to the 90 day goal.

I like to think of swagbucks as a training tool. While I'm earning I'm creating a workers mentality. Everyday I wake up and I hit my daily goal of swagbucks to earn in order to get a paypal payout. This helps me get into the mindframe that in order to earn money you must work everyday. If you've ever heard of TINSTAFL then you know there is no such thing as a free lunch. Which means that you have to work for things you desire and/or want most out of life. Please understand that it truly does take money to make money. But first we must earn money and invest it in ourselves. Earning swagbucks is a way to show yourself that you are worth the investment to earn 15K.

Success is a mindset that one must have in order to complete this challenge. Within the next week my goal is to have earned $40 from Swagbucks.com alone. That is a weeks pay for someone who has not had any income in a very long time. What am I going to do with it when I'm done? Just you wait and see. However, I will tell you now that I am not going to spend it on nonsense.

Back to the title, Training to Earn 5K. I am setting an initial goal of 5K in 28 days. Its very ambitious I know but so is my goal at the end of the 90 days. I guess you can say that on average I would like to earn 5K/ month. I am training to get myself into a self employed workers mindset. I am training to earn slowly and progressively.

I am an average out of shape person. If I decided one day to say, "Hey I think I'm gonna run a half marathon today." What do you think would happen? .... I probably wouldn't even make it a quarter of the way through the race before collapsing. If I want to train to run a half marathon I have to set a schedule to work on getting to that goal. This is much the same with earning money.

It is not okay to say hey I'm your average slum Jane or Joe and I'm gonna make 5K today. Life doesn't work that way it would be great if it did, but it doesn't. Whatever means you would try to obtain it in a day  9 times out of 10 will not work out well for you unless you've been training to earn 5K in a day. I know its cliche, but slow and steady wins the race.

So I am officially in training and more than half way done with step 1 of my 90 day challenge. Step 1 of my challenge is to earn the initial amount of swagbucks for a paypal payout. Sometimes with swagbucks if you work diligently there are other rewards along the way of completing your goals.I think that is also true with life. Sometimes if you work diligently there are other rewards along the way to completing your goals.
